Sam Aotaki

Sam is an actor, writer, and physical performer drawn to characters who live close to danger, intimacy, and psychological edge. A rebellious creative from an early age, she started her acting training at 13 under Dennis LaValle.

Her film credits include the Netflix feature XOXO, The Young Kieslowski, Asian School Girls, Alpha House, Clocking the T, Evil Bong 420, and Suburban Cowboy. She has led and supported numerous short films, including Handle with Care, Our Place in the Skies, Woke, Land of Smiles, and her newest creation, Hot Dirty Blood!, frequently portraying complex characters navigating risk, vulnerability, and moral tension. On television, she guest starred on Welcome to Daisyland, bringing the same controlled intensity and internal focus to episodic work.

She is also an award-winning writer, having won Best Crime Screenplay at the LA Crime & Horror Festival for her feature IKIGAI.
